This Lake Tahoe vacation rental home in Tahoe Park is a wonderful year-round getaway on Tahoe’s beautiful west shore. Built in 2000, this like-new home is very light and spacious. This home is only a eight-minute walk to the shores of Lake Tahoe. Here you can enjoy the amenities of the private Tahoe Park community beach with picnic area, barbecues, swings, volleyball, horseshoe and basketball courts, two piers, and 800 feet of beach. It is a fun and safe area for families.
An eight-minute walk from the house is local landmark, Sunnyside Resort with great views of the lake - a favorite spot for lunch on the deck on a sunny day or cocktails and dinner at night. Nearby is the Firesign Cafe for breakfast or lunch and the Tahoe Park Store where you can pick up groceries or items at their deli. Biking and hiking trails abound in the area. During the winter, enjoy skiing at the many ski resorts nearby. Homewood is a 10 minute drive away, Squaw Valley and Alpine Meadows are 15 minutes. Tahoe City is two miles away. This is a great location perfect for winter skiing or summer water sports.
ABOUT THE HOUSE: This spacious, comfortable, three story house sleeps up to 9 people. Step through the front door and head up a half flight of stairs to the sunny great room with living room, dining room, and kitchen which are on the middle level. The living room is bright and airy with a gas fireplace. The fully equipped kitchen, with granite countertops, trash compactor and ice maker is a cook’s delight. The floors are natural slate. The living room has TV, Stereo, CD and DVD player. The home has DSL internet access with WiFi.
The front deck has a hot tub, gas barbeque, table, unbrella and chairs for meals outdoors. There is a rear deck with access to the fully landscaped yard, which includes two entertainment areas and a firepit.
The master bedroom, adjoining den and master bathroom are on the same floor as the living room/dining area. The carpeted master bedroom has a king-size bed, down comforter, large closet and TV/VCR. The master bathroom has a large glass enclosed shower, double sinks, slate countertops and floor.
The den has a sofa and large window. There is a half bath with toilet and sink just across the hall.
Up the spiral staircase is a very spacious carpeted sleeping loft with three darling built-in twin beds each with a reading light. There are large windows on either end of the loft that admit plenty of light. A game table, TV and DVD/VCR make this a perfect getaway for relaxing and playing games. The cabinet is stocked with board games. The loft is sure to be the kids’ favorite spot!
On the ground floor are two more carpeted bedrooms each with a queen-size bed and down comforter. One bedroom has a charming hickory bed, closet, dresser, and TV. The other is done in chalet-style with log bed, closet, and armoire with TV.
These two bedrooms share a bathroom with a tub/shower, slate countertop and floors.
The maximum number of guests is 9 people, including children.
